Apprenticeship Standard: Assistant Accountant
The Assistant Accountant is ideal for anyone wishing to pursue a career in accountancy and finance and offers technical training in accounting.
Candidates will undertake the AAT Advanced Diploma in accounting at Level 3 which provides them with the knowledge and skills required for the industry.
Entry Requirements
· 5 GCSEs including English and maths at Grade 4/C or above
Two routes to access the accounting apprenticeship:
1. Direct entry route – appropriate for candidates who have experience in working in the finance sector
2. Apprenticeship Pathway Programme - which caters for candidates who have no prior experience. This route involves candidates taking the Level 2 Booking Keeping course and a work placement in a finance industry setting. Candidates must also evidence achievement of GCSE maths and English Grade 4 or above.
