Jonathan grew up in the West Midlands and after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in Birmingham came down to London to start what turned out to be a 40-year career in Financial Services. At several banks, he headed the Finance function and whilst my expertise was in finance, he had broad roles and the opportunities to learn about managing growing and highly regulated organisations. This included assessing and mitigating risk, change management, operations, HR, and IT. His passion throughout his career has been about mentoring and developing people and seeing them grow and develop their careers. Jonathan lives in Hampstead and is married with 3 young children. He also has an elder daughter who works for the police. Aside from spending time with his daughters, Jonathan enjoys sports generally, is a longstanding Aston Villa fan, and post retirement from full-time executive, enjoys working out at the local gym.
